On a journey of branding projects and collaborating with diverse teams across DaVita, I orchestrated a series of collaborative exercises throughout the brand creation process. Additionally, each design underwent rigorous legal and compliance evaluations to ensure originality and adherence to industry standards.

Brand Strategy Kickoff

Join me on a transformative journey with the Brand Strategy Kickoff, a collaborative exercise series defining the brand voice, personality, and purpose. Through engaging workshops and discussions, stakeholders and users participated in exercises such as crafting the Onliness Statement, exploring Buzz Words, envisioning Brand Personalities, and ideating the Look and Feel. These exercises laid the groundwork for a cohesive and impactful brand identity that resonates with DaVita's mission and values.

Synthesize

Harnessing the insights gathered during the Brand Strategy Kickoff, we embarked on the Synthesize phase. We gathered feedback and data from exercises such as Buzz Words and Brand Personalities to formulate a comprehensive design brief and articulate a clear art direction. This critical step ensured alignment with organizational goals, setting the stage for the upcoming design phases.

Sketching + Concepts

Enter the creative realm of Sketching + Concepts, where innovative ideas come to life. Building on the synthesized insights, stakeholders and users participated in brainstorming sessions and iterative exercises, including Sketching + Concepts. This phase marked the birth of visual narratives defining DaVita's various initiatives, fueled by collaborative exercises refining the brand's visual language.

Design

In the Design phase, we translated refined concepts into tangible logos. This step involved an inclusive and transparent production process, where we crafted logos based on the most compelling concepts identified during collaborative exercises. Each design underwent thorough review and iteration, ensuring it met aesthetic standards and resonated with the intended brand message, aligning with the earlier established brand strategy. Legal and compliance evaluations were integral to this phase, ensuring originality and avoiding resemblance to existing brands.

Present Final Design

Settling on a single concept marked the culmination of the Present Final stage. With the design refined to perfection, we presented the final brand identity to the team. This moment, the chosen concept, its evolution, and the underlying story fosters a shared understanding and enthusiasm for the brand. Stakeholders and users experienced the culmination of collaborative exercises reflected in the final brand presentation.

Delivery

The final phase involved packaging and exporting the completed brand identity. Additionally, we compiled a comprehensive style guide encompassing all necessary brand requirements, ensuring consistency across applications. Influenced by collaborative exercises, this document was a vital resource, empowering stakeholders to seamlessly implement and uphold the newly established brand identities, synthesized from collective strategic insights and creative imagination while adhering to legal and compliance standards.
